Good Hardware For The Price, Clamp Too Small For Larger Tablets

The great thing about these Chinese mounting solutions is that many of the parts are interchangeable. It seems like there are just a few manufacturers that supply most of the brands, or at least they agreed on some sort of semi-standard.This set comes with brackets that fit phone holders and ball-mounts I already own. Also hardware isn’t wasted. I just keep them for future use.We are using these in different configurations around the office and work areas to hold all sorts of devices. This specific one with the pole and clamps works great at a desk, and even better in between multiple desks. We put cheapo Android tablet in there, to listen to music, run the news, or video-chat without taking off anything from desktop-computers. The top of the pole is the place for a motion-tracking Obsbot webcam. The pole is very tall, and needs some extra support if mounted on a regular desk. We are only using one piece. I recommend modifying the bracket and hanging it from the ceiling if going with the full set. It’s stronger and doesn't move around while somebody is using the desk or counter, which is notoriously annoying. The quality is okay. It’s usable, but some parts, like the tablet clamps, would benefit from better quality plastic. A big drawback is the size of the tablet holders. They aren’t tall enough to hold a bigger tablet, or a small one vertically, but the shape also doesn’t allow holding a phone. The lever works great though. Getting a device in and out only requires one hand, while the other holds the tablet. It’s a bummer that there is no built-in solution to channel cables. A few extra clips would make it much more neater than using zip ties. I took a few photos. I hope it helps to make a decision.
